The Pure Country Dancers  It's Dance Time in
Jacksonville, Florida

The Pure Country Dancers started about 10 years ago and wasn't very successful but the president of the club had high hopes. I joined the club in December of 2001 and learned the dances, step by step. Sense then, most of the original dancers have left the club and moved on to doing other things. There were 6 of us that wanted to keep the club going, so we recruited several other couples to join our club. Joe and Paulette Crump (the dance instructors), Joe and Dottie Meek, Dolores (Dee) Smith and myself (Kenneth Rodriguez) decided to organize a committee group and keep The Pure Country Dancers alive. Sense; we have grown into a popular club. We have contributed to the needey of Jacksonville's surrounding area's by performing free dance shows for places like retirement homes, nurseing homes, chairity benifits, etc. Here in Jacksonville, we get together on Thursday, Friday's, and Saturday nights at The CrazyHorse Saloon on South Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park to practice and have fun. We also meet at the Spin-Drifters Saloon on Roseveltt Blvd.(Hwy17) in Orange Park on some occassions.
